A rapid and accurate computer vision system for measuring the volume of axi-symmetric natural products based on cubic spline interpolation

The volume contains prominent information used to evaluate the visual quality of natural products and can be measured using a computer vision system. system provides an alternative method for measuring products, especially axi-symmetric products. obtained integral solid revolution by rotating boundary curve upper half object cross-section. This study proposes based on cubic spline interpolation. A piecewise polynomial was constructed interpolation approximate cross-section points extracted from image object. integrated obtain experimental result reveals that proposed achieved accurate measurement with mean absolute relative error 1.03% compared water displacement result.
